Our usual changeover day is Friday; the cottage is available for our guest occupancy from 3.30pm on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of departure. During the winter months we can often be flexible on the departure time, if we have no new guests coming in the same day. Please ask on arrival if it is possible to extend your departure time.
Access the internet with our Wi-Fi link (access code required) for picking up emails etc.
Rural Wi-Fi, the reception is less reliable and the speed can be much slower than in towns and cities!.
We are looking to upgrade the facility, as new options for the area become available.
We like dogs and have one ourselves!
We welcome well behaved, friendly and housetrained dogs to the cottage.
We cannot accept any dog that does not get on with people, or other animals.
We have a few rules! Dogs are not allowed on the furniture, or in bedrooms and cannot be left unsupervised in the cottage. please bring own dog bed/crate and feeding bowls. Please ensure that the garden is completely clean, before leaving the property.
We make a charge of £20 per dog per stay (2 dogs, absolute maximum).
The cottage garden is enclosed (4 ft. high fencing and sheep fencing behind the hedges) and providing the gates are closed, it would be difficult for a dog to escape.
Dogs should be under your control, at all times. Livestock and horses on neighboring fields.

We have a pond (securely fenced and gated) on the paddock (Through 3 closed gates from the cottage). Please, for their own safety, do not allow unsupervised children near the pond.

On the paddock directly behind the cottage garden we keep a variety of animals, usually our few friendly sheep and lambs. They are always interested in an apple or carrot, if you have any to spare!
Please do not go on to the paddock if animals are present, they are wild animals and can be unpredictable with strangers.

We have a wild flower meadow on Scothern Lane and a tree plantation of about 30 acres. You are very welcome to walk this land or have a picnic; we have provided footpaths to allow you to do this away from livestock. Dogs can be walked off the lead. A map of our suggested route is at the cottage.

The area around the cottage is great for wildlife and we have an owl box in one of the big trees on the paddock and Barn Owls have successfully nested there for many years. Little Owls and Tawny owls also nest in our garden.

Based on our experience of renting holiday homes over the years we have tried to equip our holiday cottage using the best features of all of them and make it a real 'home from home'. Whether you are sightseeing, bird watching, seal spotting, walking, cycling or just want to enjoy your holiday chilling out. Church Farm Cottage offers a special place to relax, unwind and enjoy your holiday in Lincolnshire. We have lots of lovely comments in our visitor book. We always welcome our guests' suggestions on how we can improve the cottage; and implement changes where practical. Thank you for your interest in our cottage and if you require further information please do not hesitate to ask.
